DESCRIPTIONS:
MBA
- Accounting
This
concentration offers advanced classes for managers
who have undergraduate degrees in accounting and
want to take additional classes critical to their
work situation. Students enrolling in this concentration
must have a minimum of 16 quarter hours of undergraduate
accounting, including at least eight hours of
principles of accounting and at least four hours
of intermediate accounting.

- Computer Information Services
This
concentration has been designed for managers who
work with (or desire to work with) and understand
the Information Resources of their companies.
In addition to core MBA courses, students are
exposed to relevant practitioners and issues highly
relevant to the changing workplace.
MBA
- E-Commerce
This
program has been designed to provide students
with a managerial overview of e-commerce. Focus
will be on the processes involved in developing,
creating, and managing an e-business solution.
This includes both the starting of an e-business
and the adding of an e-commerce element to an
existing business or organization.

- Finance
This
concentration provides in-depth study of the most
modern concepts, theories, analytic methods, and
problem-solving techniques. Students will participate
in presentations, discussions, and activities
highlighting practical business applications,
current event applications, problem-solving, analysis
of case studies, and other learning activities.

- General Business
This
concentration combines the best of conventional
academic training with the best of field-based
learning. The significant difference between this
degree option and Baker's other MBA's is that
there is no need to declare a concentration. Students
electing this "general" approach to
the degree simply complete the core MBA courses
and then pick and choose from any other courses
offered in the graduate school.

- Health Care Management
This
program combines the best academic training and
field-based learning with an emphasis on the allied
health field. Most typical business disciplines
are represented in the curriculum, because a successful
manager must be conversant with different aspects
of running organizations or companies.

- Human Resource Management
This
concentration has been designed for people who
work (or want to work) in the personnel or human
resources area. In addition to core MBA courses,
students are exposed to practitioners in Human
Resources, the constantly changing roles of various
HR personnel within the field, and a variety of
topics and issues highly relevant to the changing
workplace.

- Industrial Management
This
concentration has been designed to complement
the undergraduate degrees of students who work
in the corporate, manufacturing, and industrial
sectors. It is composed of both core MBA courses
and of specific "manufacturing-oriented"
courses. Students with a Bachelor degree in Industrial
Management will find this path a logical next
step in their education.

- International Business
This
concentration provides in-depth study of the most
modern concepts, principles, analytic techniques,
and problem-solving techniques of international
business management. During class sessions, students
will participate in discussions of practical international
business applications, current events, and case
studies.

- Leadership Studies
This
program is designed for individuals who aspire
to upper level administrative and management positions.
In addition to core MBA courses, students are
exposed to specific leadership issues and theories
to develop problem-solving skills that will help
them effectively lead an organization in today's
global environment.

(or want to work) in marketing, advertising, or
public relations. In addition to core MBA courses,
students are exposed to practitioners, the constantly
