The
Academic
Psychology
specialization
will
prepare
you
to
teach,
mentor
and
conduct
research
in
psychology
at
institutions
of
higher
education.
Academic
psychologists
are
interested
in
areas
such
as
learning
and
cognition,
instruction,
cognitive
and
social
development,
and
psychological
practices
as
they
are
applied
to
education.
The
objective
of
the
specialization
is
to
prepare
you
to
integrate
psychological
theory
and
practice
using
scientific
methods
and
evidence-based
practice
to
inform
undergraduate
and
graduate
instruction
that
incorporate
issues
of
cultural
and
individual
diversity.
After
completing
this
specialization,
you
will
be
able
to:

knowledge
base
in
psychology
and
its
history,
research
methods
and
applications.

psychological
theory,
research
and
practice
to

process
and
